Tritone (♭5 / ♯4)

The tritone is an interval of 6 semitones, perfectly dividing the octave in half. It is the most dissonant interval in Western music. The tritone is its own inversion and creates powerful harmonic tension in dominant 7th chords. It appears as an augmented 4th in the Lydian Mode (TODO link to mode).
